STILL LIFE

The inspiration for my idea was the 1960's or more commonly known as the "Vintage" Era.
Books are everyones passion but i displayed how i see books in my perspective.
The novels are floating freely and almost look like the are flying. This symbolizes how each book affects an individual differently, we take books in our own eyes and people are naturally complaisant towards your own personal thoughts on it.
A book is like living another life, you experience what you read as you befriend the fictional being you are following, "Flying" through another life time.

I incorporated Line, Shape, Pattern and Color into my photograph

The lighting was created by putting a high luminescent light angled upward at the books to create a fade of light to dark and create a shadow on every 3D object in the photograph. I then grabbed my camera and took photos from almost every angle, i then filtered out the blurred and Aesthetically unpleasant images to find the final 6, after editing all of them i had the opinions of 4 people (all of which are amateur photographers like myself) that helped me choose the best one.

To give the photo a vintage feel I edited the RGB curves, Brightness and the contrast, i used the gradient tool to add a slight red to the bottom corner, and a slight blue to the upper left, Creating the effect of a modernistic version of a vintage developed photo.
